Dan (aka Danny) was born in California and moved to Ridgefield at the age of 9. Since moving to Ridgefield, Dan has been a part of the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield as both a member and staff. Upon graduating from Ridgefield High School, he attended Southern Connecticut State University where he got his Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Recreation & Youth Development. Dan then served as the Recreation Supervisor for the Town of Southbury for 4 years before returning to the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield in the role of Program & Community Outreach Manager.
While growing up at the Club, Dan participated in many after school programs, including Torch Club & Keystone Club. During his time with Keystone Club, he was a part of multiple National Award winning projects and programs, as well as being a part of the 2012 National Keystone Club of the Year. Dan has also been recognized as the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield’s 2013 Youth of the Year. Growing up at the Club and seeing how much of a positive impact it can make on the lives of the youth in its community encouraged Dan to pursue a career in the Youth Development field.
As Program & Community Outreach Manager at the Club, Dan helps to create and build partnerships with organizations in the local community, as well as assisting in program implementation and growth with the rest of the program staff. Dan also assists in resource development and special events.
In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with his friends and family, hiking, cooking, going to the gym, and watching sports. He is a die-hard Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.
